The Private Pilot Certificate typically serves as the initial milestone for individuals aspiring to become recreational or commercial pilots. It extends a wider array of privileges compared to the Sport Pilot Certificate, encompassing a greater variety of aircraft, the capability for night flying, and the potential to pursue an instrument rating.Just as with all our training programs, we adhere to a structured syllabus meticulously crafted to facilitate a seamless progression from ground zero to the point of obtaining your check ride. The Private Pilot syllabus maintains a similar framework to that of the Sport Pilot Syllabus, but encompasses additional lessons to fulfill the heightened requirements for a Private Pilot certification. This includes instruction in night flying, fundamental instrument flying skills, and operations at towered airports.


To be eligible for a Private Pilot Certificate, you must:

Be at least 17 years of age
Hold a 3rd Class Medical Certificate
Have logged 40 hours of flight time
